Pre-Placement Preparation

Most of the companies will take coding and aptitude test. Practice aptitude questions so that you will be familiar with the type of questions and it will also increase your speed. (https://puzzlefry.com/) contains some standard questions which are very important for aptitude test and interviews. Practice as much problem as you can on Data Structures and Algorithms. (Interviewbit, Hackerrank and geeksforgeeks are good source)

Resume

  • Start working on the points you will write on your resume during summer vacations itself and complete your resume well ahead of the deadline so that you can take help of your batch-mates / senior in reviewing it.
  • Do not use fillers and be honest because if you were not able to explain your projects/ experience the interviewer might think that you were lying and it will be a red flag.
  • Make notes for explanation of all the points you mentioned in your resume as it will be very helpful during interviews.

General Fundae

  • First of all decide the profiles you want to target as you will need time in order to prepare and therefore its not wise if you apply for the role of consultant/ Software developer/ Analytics/ Finance and core sector.
  • In case of dilemma just opt for 2 related sectors which are most appealing to you and you have some background information about them. I targeted software/ analytics role.

Be confident and do not undersell yourself and do not forget to convince interviewer that you are genuinely interested about the role they are offering”.

All the best! 😀
